After weeks of discussions, the contours of the new Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance seem to be finally taking shape. The Alliance has officially formalized some of its future projects, including one particularly interesting one as it relates to the upcoming electric Micra and France.
A few days ago, the Alliance confirmed the arrival of the new Mitsubishi Colt and ASX based on the Renault Clio and Captur, respectively, on the CMF-B platform.

The first electric Nissan Micra will see the light of day in France
The alliance also announced its intention to produce the future electric Nissan Micra at the Renault ElectriCity plant in northern France.
Production of this model should start by 2026 and will be based on the CMF-BEV architecture, which will also be the basis for the new Renault 5 and Renault 4. Thus, the new Micra will have 80% of its components with future electric motors. Renault 5.
In addition, from 2026, Groupe Renault will release its first FlexEVan, an electric light SUV that will be an analogue of another Nissan model.
Future synergy in the distribution and charging network
Alliance also announced some amazing new features. Indeed, in Europe, Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi are seeking to develop a network of joint dealerships to reduce distribution costs.
Thus, according to the Alliance, the number of dealers distributing cars of the three brands will increase, but above all there will be much more synergy around after-sales service, financing and used car centers.
