War in Ukraine – Lavrov: We want the war to end, but the West stands in the way

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday that Russian forces would respond to the supply of longer-range Western weapons to Kyiv in an attempt to push Ukrainian forces further away from the Russian border to create a safe zone. He added that Moscow can win the war with Ukraine without the help of the post-Soviet republics.

In an interview on state television, Lavrov said everyone wants an end to the conflict in Ukraine, which Moscow calls a “special military operation,” but that Western support for Kyiv played a major role in how Russia approaches the campaign, adding that the West is lying when it says that Russia refuses to negotiate.

In fact, Sergei Lavrov said that the statements of the EU. for the need to defeat Russia is nothing but racism.

The Russian Foreign Minister considers Moldova the next “anti-Russian project” after Ukraine, while at the same time he has no doubt that the West wants to turn Georgia into another enemy of Russia.

At the same time, he accused the United States of direct involvement in the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipeline, but did not provide evidence. It is worth noting that Vladimir Putin blamed the explosions on the UK, which London denied.
