Christos Spirtzis, head of the SYRIZA-PS Citizen Protection Department, refers in his statement to “corruption within EL.AS”.

Mr. Spircis cites a front-page article in To Vima, which claims that it “once again exposed the great corruption within ELAS by exposing the messaging between policemen, dangerous thugs and the ‘godfathers’ of the night that was found on the devices cell phones under investigation.

Recalling “the Greek mafia case that was solved and sent to the Ministry of Justice by the SYRIZA government,” he adds: “Recently, Mr. Theodorikakos pretended to know nothing about the accused senior officer, Mr. Davalos, who set up the Attica guards. Today, after new revelations, Mr. Theodorikakos is again behaving ignorantly, ordering an immediate investigation by the Internal Affairs Service.”

He then asks the minister, “Can he tell us if he promoted Mr. Davalos during previous crises?” If today he was informed about the case of the Greek mafia? If, as Minister of Civil Protection, in addition to propaganda, he will deal with crime and the security of citizens during the few days that he remained in the Mitsotakis government?”
