
The bloody episode unfolded early Sunday morning in a bar Rethymnon, very close to the police station. The incident involved a police officer serving in Rethymnon and a group of young people from Mylopotamos.
According to ERT, the bloody fight took place at 4:10, when, according to information, the father of a policeman who was attacked by a 27-year-old young man near the store works at the bar. The policeman went to defend his father, stood in the middle and received a knife in his hand. In an attempt to defend himself, he shot a 27-year-old boy, resulting in a minor abdominal injury.
In this episode, four people were detained, namely two young people who were found to have weapons and who were in the company of a 27-year-old (all of them are relatives), a knife attacker and a policeman.
It should be noted that young people from Mylopotamos also broke the window of the cinema, which is located near the scene of the fight.
