It was liquidated after a months-long investigation by the Tripoli Security Department, a criminal organization whose members committed a number of thefts and robberies in the regions of Etoloakarnania, Arcadia, Arta, Achaia, Eurytania and Corinthia.

In order to eliminate the criminal organization in the areas of Corinth and Athens, large-scale parallel police operations were carried out by the police of the Tripoli Security Department, in cooperation with the police of the Athenian Security Subdivision of the Attic Security Directorate. Directorate, Crime Prevention and Control Groups and Special Control of Arcadia and Department of Security of Corinth.

As part of the operation, 4 people were detained, a 26-year-old citizen and three foreigners aged 36, 37 and 45, members of a criminal organization, against whom a criminal case was initiated on the fact of a criminal organization, robbery, especially important cases of theft, prevention and suppression of criminal activities for laundering money, which also includes a 31-year-old foreigner.

With regard to the timing of the move, from the police investigation conducted by the Tripoli Security Department, using relevant and aggregate evidence, as well as the results of physical and technical methods, it turned out that from at least August 2022 to January 2023 they formed a criminal organization with a hierarchical structure, clear roles and continuous action in order to commit theft and robbery and thus obtain large sums of money.

On the same day, the criminals traveled to the regions of Etoloakarnania, Arcadia, Corinthia, looked out for houses whose tenants were absent, and then, by the method of burglaries, some of the members entered them, while other members of the organization, who were charged with the role of a chiller driver, waited for relatives distances.

During the period from August 12, 2022 to January 27, 2023, they committed a total of one case of robbery, as well as 22 cases of theft in residential buildings.

In the course of their aforementioned criminal activities, they seized, among other things, money, jewelry and electronic devices, the total value of which exceeds 200,000 euros.

During the operation, simultaneous searches were carried out in their homes, where they found and seized a total of 12,140 euros: 8 mobile phones and several SIM cards, 2 cars as a means of committing criminal acts, 1 binoculars, 1 drone, 4 passports, robber’s tools, as well as many watches and jewelry.

In addition, the 26-year-old is also accused of violating drug laws, as a shipment of cannabis with a total weight of 43 grams was found in his home, which was confiscated. As a result, as it turned out, the 36-year-old foreigner remained in the country illegally.
