Minimum percentage of participants ASEP competition fill 822 staff positions in AADE managed to pass the basic limit set in the competition. In particular, out of 11,500 entries in the competition, only 257 wrote well enough to be hired for their respective positions, and 565 vacancies remain vacant.

A group of bidders cite significant failures that led to an overwhelming rejection rate and ask in a letter to the Interior and Finance Ministers and the AADE administration for a “realignment of the success criteria by the authorities.” to cover all positions that have been announced.”

OUR the political leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported to “K” that he knows about this problem and is considering possible scenarios for solving it, but so far nothing concrete has been decided. It is also worth noting that 25,000 candidates applied for this competition, but only 11,000 applied. The letter was signed by 123 people, but this list is constantly growing.

The mentioned letter notes that the conditions for success were very strict, but at the same time the material was very large. Thus, “there is a significant percentage of candidates who were not included in the list of successful candidates because they did not make it into the database by a small or very small number of units. It is shown that there are a significant number of qualified candidates who have passed the competition and received high marks as a result of intense, painstaking and many months of preparation and who carry a strong presumption of knowledge of the subject and involvement in it, who could fill vacancies and adequately fill the state services due.

Three lessons

Sources familiar with relevant competitions refer to “K” that it actually had an increased degree of difficulty, as first-time candidates took the exam in three subjects instead of two. According to the same source, in the first course regarding language skills, the performance was satisfactory, however, in the other two courses “Law” and “Accounting”, the participants failed because they were candidates who had knowledge (thanks to the degree) in one or the other field.

“PE law graduate candidates also took the accounting and business audit course exams, and vice versa, economics graduates also took tax and tax law exams, and in the PE category, statistics candidates also took the exam in courses “Tax and tax law” and “Accounting and audit”, – the letter says.

Negative rating

The competition also used the so-called negative assessment: for each incorrect answer, the candidate was not only not awarded a point, but, on the contrary, a point was deducted. An important element of the difficulty was also the fact that participants had to achieve an overall average score of more than 60% in order to succeed. Finally, the letter indicates that the time of the exam was limited due to the relevant competition organized in 2017.
