Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmytro Medvedev said that the situation for Russia will be “very difficult” in the context of Ukraine receiving heavy weapons from the West and warned that Moscow “should not have any illusions”, Ukrainian Pravda and TASS report.

According to him, the results of the meeting of Western allies of Ukraine at the Ramstein base indicate that the West will continue to supply Ukraine with weapons for a long time, which will lead to the exhaustion of Russia. He also hopes that the protracted conflict could lead to the creation of a new military alliance that will be positioned against the United States.

Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday spoke for the first time about the possible defeat of Moscow in the war in Ukraine, warning NATO that it could provoke a nuclear war.

“The defeat of a nuclear power in a conventional war could trigger a nuclear war,” he wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

The United States will hand over 50 Bradley military vehicles, as well as 90 Stryker armored vehicles and Patriot air defense systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Finland has pledged to provide Ukraine with more than 400 million euros worth of additional defense equipment and said it could add Leopard tanks if there is a deal with allies.
