Grisnyk (16 ATP and No. 15 seed) monologued in the next three sets (6-1, 6-2, 6-0) and ended the match after three hours and 35 minutes.
For a place in the quarterfinals of the Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne, Yannick will fight with Stephanos Tsitsipas (favorite 3), who decisively defeated the Dutchman Tallon Grikspoor (63 ATP), the score 6-2, 7-6(5), 6-3. The Greek leads with a score of 4-1 in head-to-head matches.
Australian Open 2023 will be held from January 16 to 29. The reigning champions are Ashley Barty (now retired) and Rafael Nadal (eliminated in the second round).
