Recent myocardial infarction showed for 54-year-old runner Vasilisa Rapti from Messolonga autopsy performed at Patras Regional University Hospital.
The health runner and foreign language teacher was found unconscious on the track of the Municipal Sports Center at midnight on Sunday, where he went to train.
He was an accomplished runner and competed in long distance sports. His search was started by his relatives, who became worried as the hours ticked by and he did not return home.
After he was found, he was immediately taken to the Messolonghi hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
