Former Russian President Dmytro Medvedev condemned discussions about military aid to Ukraine at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday. “It’s a shame,” he criticized on Telegram.
“At the Davos Forum, they are discussing sending tanks to Ukraine. The Pole (President Andrzej Duda, editor’s note) has announced that he is going to gather a coalition of Western countries to supply Kyiv with armored vehicles,” criticized Medvedev, number two in Russia’s powerful Security Council, La Libre Belgique newspaper reported, citing Rador.
On Monday, in a discussion about the “defense of Europe”, Andrzej Duda appealed to Ukraine’s European allies with a request to send Kyiv more weapons, in particular armored vehicles.
“Earlier, something else was discussed in Davos. As well as the economy and everything else,” Dmitry Medvedev criticized, “positively assessing the fact that there are neither Russians nor Chinese in the Swiss resort.”
According to the Russian leader, the participants of the Davos Economic Forum “probably hope that the so-called “armored coalition” will lead to the long-awaited split of Ukraine.”
However, “it is not necessary to create a coalition, but a collective document. Looking at the capitulation of the rotten regime in Kyiv, to save people,” he wrote in conclusion.
