KKE: Aleka Papariga excluded from voting after 30 years

After 30 years of continuous presence in Parliament, its former general secretary KKE Aleka Papariga will not run in the upcoming national elections.

As it became known, this decision was made with the consent of Mrs. Paparighi in the context of the renewal of the KKE parliamentary group.

As a reminder, Aleka Papariga was elected MP of Athens B from the KKE from the elections of 1993 to 2014. From the elections in January 2015 until the last elections in 2019, she was elected by the state vote of the KKE.

The current general secretary of the Central Committee of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, will be a candidate in the constituencies of the Northern Sector of Athens, First Thessaloniki and Phthiotis in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The head of the state voting will be Thanasis Pafilis, a member of the KE and a parliamentary representative of the party.
