​Break Point, a Netflix production, will be released during the day on Friday and will be accompanied by unknown events in the world of tennis. Some major international publications have already received the first images, and Maria Sakkari (6 WTA) was at the center of the first scandal.

During the 2022 Indian Wells final (which Maria lost to Poland’s Izy Swiatek, 6-4, 6-1), the athlete from Greece had a nasty outing with her coach Tom Hill.

The television cameras and those present at the California Central did not notice this moment, but it was added to the production of Break Point.

Dissatisfied with her performance, as well as the fact that the coach was trying to give her some tips, Maria had a temper tantrum at Tom Hill.

“One word and I’ll cut your throat,” Sakkari said, before adding in his native tongue, “Go to hell! Burn in hell”, reports welovetennis.fr.

At the age of 27, Sakkari is the highest ranked world number 3 (as of March 2022) and last season played in the final (all losses) at St. Petersburg, Indian Wells, Parma and Guadalajara.
