A new video posted on social media by the Armed Forces of Ukraine shows their soldiers destroying a group of Wagner’s mercenaries during the fighting that allegedly took place in the city of Soledar in the east of the country.
The footage shows how the Ukrainians are watching the Russian military, members of the Wagner PMC mercenary group at every step, before opening fire with large-caliber machine guns. New images that can have an emotional impact on viewers:

The footage shows how, after Wagner’s mercenaries initially try to take up a position behind the ridge, they hastily retreat behind concrete walls, trying to avoid Ukrainian fire. But the entire group of Russian soldiers appears to have been wiped out after Ukrainian forces relayed their coordinates to the artillery, which fired several well-timed volleys.
At the very end of the video, you can see how the bodies of some Russian soldiers were thrown by artillery fire to the other side of the wall behind which they were trying to hide.
Despite the violent outcome for the invading troops, the footage is quite remarkable, showing how every movement of the “Wagner” PMC mercenaries is monitored in real time by Ukrainian defenders who adjust their fire and actions with the help of drones.
In this case, they are likely drones specialized for reconnaissance and battlefield surveillance, or small commercial ones converted for military purposes.
The Russian military is having more and more problems because of Ukrainian drones
In recent months, an increasing number of videos have appeared on social media showing Moscow troops being destroyed by coordinated drone strikes in the context of static urban guerrilla fighting currently taking place on the Bakhmut axis in Donetsk region.
In many of these videos, Russian soldiers do not appear to be aware that they are in danger, even though, judging by the images, the drones are not flying very far from them.
One such footage, released by the Ukrainian military in late December, shows a group of 12 Russian soldiers being blown apart by Ukrainian artillery fire after they took cover in a building they believed to be safe.
This footage shows how the Russians were also being followed at every step by Ukrainian drone operators, who waited for all the Moscow military to enter the building before launching an artillery strike on them.
Another video that surfaced on social media in late December showed a group of Russian soldiers chatting casually before Ukrainians following them with drones attacked them with a kamikaze attack, hitting one of the occupiers.
Other information released this Tuesday by Ukraine’s special forces shows how its elite soldiers destroyed a Russian position at night after coordinating mortar strikes on it with the help of drones, then outflanked Russian soldiers knowing exactly where their positions were.
