Awarded Film”Titanic» written and directed James Cameron returns to theaters 25 years after its release, and even in 3D.
An epic and action-packed romantic film with the main actors – Oscar winners – Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslethas as its background the tragic first voyage of the “unsinkable” ship “Titanic”.
After its release in 1997, Titanic became the leader of the world box office and became the third highest grossing film in the world.
Cameron’s inspiration for the film was his fascination with shipwrecks. He believed that a love story combined with human loss was necessary to convey the emotional impact of the disaster. Production began on September 1, 1995, when the director viewed footage of the Titanic wreck from archive footage. The film, and especially the moment when the Titanic sinks, required models, CGI and a reconstruction of the ship, built by the Baja Studios.
The film is presented by Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Studios, produced by Lightstorm Entertainment. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher, Bernard Hill, Jonathan Hyde, Danny Nucci, Gloria Stewart, David Warner, Victor Garber and Bill Paxton.
