Ruse, Bara, Ignatic and Lee in Australian Open 2023 qualification

Gabriela Ruse (116 WTA) will meet Seone Mendes (Australia – ​​375 WTA) in the first round of qualification.

Gabriela Talab Lee (200 WTA) will meet Rebeka Masarova (130 WTA, finalist WTA Auckland). In case of success, there will be a match with the winner of the match between Anastasia Zakharova (171 WTA) and Lucrezia Stefanini (140 WTA).

Nicolas David Ionel, the only representative of Romania in the Australian Open 2023 qualification

Nicolas David Ionel will be the only player from Romania to take part in the AO 2023 qualifiers.

At the moment, Ionel is ranked 229 in the ATP ranking and will defeat Yuriy Rodionov (122nd in the ATP ranking) in the first round.

If he beats the Austrian, David Ionel will then face the winner of Francesco Maestrelli (200 ATP) and Adrian Andreev (189 ATP).
