In any other case, it will be indicated that the discounts apply to the selected products, indicating the corresponding percentage.

Warehouses or outlets must display the removed old sale price and the new, reduced sale price on signage in such a way that the consumer understands a clear difference between the two prices. If desired, it is allowed to indicate the discount percentage inside the store and in any other commercial communication with the consumer. During sale or offer periods, these stores must display all removed intermediate prices and the new reduced sale price in bold print.

If discounts, offers or any announcement of price reductions are inaccurate or misleading with regard to the discount percentage, prices or quantity of goods offered at a discount or offer, or are associated with any form of concealment or deceit, a penalty is imposed at the expense of the merchant up to 2% of the annual turnover and in any case not less than 20,000 euros. If a merchant is repeatedly fined for the same violation within five years, the maximum amount of the fine is increased to 4% of his annual turnover.
