French President Emmanuel Macron told his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyi that France will send AMX-10 RC light armored combat vehicles to help in the war against Russia, an Elysée official said after a phone conversation between the two leaders, Reuters reports..

Speaking to reporters, the official did not provide details on the volume or timing of the planned deliveries, but said discussions between the two countries would continue on potential deliveries of other types of vehicles.

The French AMX-10 is a highly mobile armed reconnaissance vehicle that carries four people, according to the website of the French Ministry of Armed Forces.

The AMX-10 RC is armed with a 105mm/48 F2 BK MECA gun.
