There was one acquisition that went unnoticed by the market, but it shows momentum that Greek IT companies. In December, the Greek company Nimaworks, based in Chalandri and operating in Cyprus, came under the control of the British multinational group Adaptavist. The transaction price for the acquisition of 100% of Nimaworks was approximately 1.5 million euros, reports with information “K”.

Nimaworks was founded about ten years ago as a certified partner of the Australian developer and business software company Atlassian. Atlassian’s products, and by extension Nimaworks, which has been a Platinum Partner of the Australian company for the past 14 months, are focused on improving the productivity of enterprises and organizing their operations more efficiently.

Adaptavist, under whose umbrella Nimaworks has been since the beginning of the month, is Atlassian’s Platinum Partner, and this partnership with the Australian software company is one of the characteristics that the two players have in common. With the acquisition of the company, located on Rizari Street in Chalandri, UK-based Adaptavist aims to further strengthen its presence in the Greek and Cypriot markets, as well as the wider Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. With more than 18,000 customers, half of which are Fortune 500 companies, Adaptavist was founded in 2005, operates in 15 countries, and has more than 15 million users of its products. as in the field of IT service management, known worldwide under the acronym ITSM and representing a market with an estimated value of 15 billion euros by 2027 and a growth rate of 18%. ITSM services are more holistic and focus on continually improving the performance of an organization’s information systems (IT) based on broader needs and goals to achieve growth. That is, as opposed to “traditional” IT help desks, whose purpose is simply to keep computers running smoothly. Businesses’ ongoing pursuit of productivity and time savings has also increased demand for ITSM services and software, leading to acquisitions such as Nimaworks by Adaptavist.

According to the BSE Digital Transformation Observatory, the majority of Greek businesses are still not investing in modern technology and are targeting legacy systems. As the body notes, in order to maintain the competitiveness of a business, a change in business philosophy in favor of the use of advanced technologies is now mandatory.
