Increase minimal salary– stressed the Prime Minister. Kyriakos Mitsotakisanswering the questions of journalists at the established ceremony of wishes of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou in the new year.
The Prime Minister stressed that the decision to raise the minimum wage a month earlier had nothing to do with the elections.
“I want to make it clear. The choice to arrive a month earlier is due to the fact that in April it ends in the first quarter, the tourist season begins and there are enough people in the tourism industry,” he said.
The Prime Minister, in his New Year’s message yesterday Saturday, mentioned the positive steps taken in 2022 for the country, as well as those to be taken in 2023, the most important of which is the increase in the minimum wage. According to him, “from April 1, earlier than last year, the minimum wage will rise again.”
Mr. Mitsotakis emphasized that “since the 1st, pensioners will see an increase in their pensions many years later. NHS doctors will see their salaries rise. And now all Greeks will benefit from the abolition of the solidarity rally. Also from February, the state will cover a significant part of the basic expenses of households.”
