“This double hit is serious but can be fixed,” the 66-year-old said, adding: “Hopefully for a favorable outcome. I will fight with everything I have.”
Navratilova, who was born in the Czech Republic, became a US citizen in 1981. She was also diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, but then she managed to emerge victorious from this test.
Navratilova added that the cancer is at stage 1, the prognosis is good, and treatment will begin next week.
