The urban revival of Ellinikon has been the most important news in real estate development in our country, but it has also had a significant impact on a European level.

But where will Elliniko be in a year, at the end of the new year, which will begin in a few days? What projects will be implemented as announced, what construction sites will be in full operation and how will the surrounding area be shaped?

Model building for four PWD unions launched at full capacity

The International Building will be fully operational, accommodating the needs of the four disability associations, as the work will be completed as announced in the summer of 2023, and the facilities will be delivered fully equipped no later than the fall of that year.

The construction is already at a very advanced stage and Lamda Development has assumed the entire cost of its construction, which will exceed 15 million euros. The building, which is a complex of 11,000 square meters on an area of 7,400 square meters, with a special focus on its green surrounding area, will be transferred by Lamda Development to the municipality of Ellinikon-Argyroupolis as part of the signed memorandum. a few days ago with the aim of restructuring the work of Hellinikon for a more direct and rapid dissemination to all residents of the municipality and society in general.

Phase 1 infrastructure is operational

The infrastructure projects of the first phase, which are already in full development, will be at an advanced stage, with the underground Poseidon Avenue at the height of Agios Kosmas being the dominant one. Already today, excavations are underway, covering 2/3 of the total length of 1.3 kilometers of the dungeon, work is being carried out ahead of schedule.

At the end of 2023, the construction work on the Trachona Creek, which is already at an advanced stage, will be completed, resulting in the creation of a water channel that will have a dual role of offering both recreational solutions and proposals in a wider area. as well as flood protection in the area.

The first floors of a green skyscraper

It was announced that in a year the first floors of the tallest coastal green skyscraper in the Mediterranean, the Riviera Tower, would begin to be erected on site. After the issuance of the relevant construction permit in August 2022, which required a large number of approvals and more than 1900 plans, the area of the site was immediately demarcated, work began, and in May 2023 the foundation was completed. The interest in this residential redevelopment lies in the fact that customer advances have already been made, which correspond to approximately 95% of the area sold.

Nearly all demolition of old buildings will also be completed by the end of 2023. According to the Managing Director of Lamda Development Odysseas Athanasiou, a special team has been created to faithfully comply with the environmental obligations of each project at each stage. As announced, 70% of the area of Ellinikon will be green, compared to 25% that was before.

Contests

A series of tenders will be completed, including tenders to select a contractor for the Vouliagmenis shopping center in the Vouliagmenis Avenue area, for the Riviera Galleria, the Ellinikos shopping center, the construction of sports facilities, and the selection of a contractor for the first stage of the Metropolitan Park development. Completion of tenders will lead to the commencement of construction work. At the same time, the implementation of agreements such as Lamda Development with TEMES to create two five-star tourist complexes will be promoted.

Along with the ongoing projects, the number of new jobs is also increasing. As Mr. Athanasiou emphasized, our young fellow citizens who left our country also have the opportunity to return, which is already happening in the case of Hellinikon. New jobs will exceed 10,000 within two years, while 75,000 new jobs will be created at the peak of the Hellinikon project. The ambition of the Elliniko project, as noted by Dr. Spyros Latsis at the official launch of the project in the presence of the Prime Minister, is that Elliniko appeals to all Greeks.
