Chelsea are ready to buy Enzo Fernandez

The midfielder impressed at the World Cup in Qatar, managing to win the trophy as part of Argentina and, according to the results, to receive the title of the best young footballer of the tournament, writes the Daily Mail.

“Real”, “Liverpool” and “Newcastle” were already interested in the Argentine, and the latter already made an application, which the Portuguese rejected.

Enzo Fernandez is back in training at Benfica and president Rui Costa is hoping to convince him to stay in Lisbon with a view to winning the title and a long run in the Champions League.

On the other hand, Londoners are focused on future investments. With the contracts of veterans Jorginho and N’Golo Kante expiring, manager Graham Potter is looking to reduce the average age of the squad, looking to bank on young players in midfield.
