
Ukrainian Andrii Mykytyuk, an IT engineer by profession, ten months ago could not have even thought that he would end up in Bucharest. All he wanted was to protect his family from war. In the end, he got here. Forced by circumstances, he did not stop his life. He also managed to help expand the IT company he works for in Romania.
The 10 months of war coincide with the winter holidays, which bring Andrei only drams of happiness. With the fact that part of the family remained in Ukraine, with a forced move to another country, Christmas is completely different now. This is a festive Christmas, this year on December 25, and not according to the old-fashioned calendar, like most Ukrainians.
For several months, Andriy Mykytyuk has been in Romania, a country he knew little about, but where he, like many other Ukrainians, ended up because of the war.
“Every morning you wake up, open your phone, read the news and want to see one news: the war is over! But he is not there. It’s a feeling of constantly waiting for this nightmare to end.” After these words, Ukrainian Andriy Mykytyuk (36 years old) looks blank and tries to gather himself with all the optimism he can muster.
