Estonians have stepped up their already large support for the Ukrainian army by delivering a mobile sauna for soldiers enduring the cold winter on the front lines, DPA and Berliner Zeitung reported on Wednesday, Agerpres reported.

Estonian public channel ERR reported that a sauna installed on a military vehicle was recently sent to the Ukrainian army, along with a shower and laundry facilities in two other trucks.

“These are three rooms where fighters can go to the sauna, take a shower and then rest. And, at the same time, wash and dry your clothes,” said technical developer Siim Nellis before sending the equipment from Estonia.

“It is very important to maintain good morale and good health,” he added.

The mobile sauna that the Ukrainians received can be camouflaged

The first to receive a mobile sauna was a battalion of Ukrainian volunteers who have been fighting with Russian units on the front lines since March.

The three trucks, which include a sauna, showers and a laundry, can be moved or masked with camouflage netting to avoid Russian attacks.

According to reports, the three units should be able to handle 400 soldiers per week. The system was developed thanks to a joint initiative of humanitarian organizations, the Estonian Volunteer Defense League and a sauna manufacturer.

In August, the Estonian government announced plans to supply Ukraine with additional weapons, mortars and anti-tank weapons to fight Russian forces.

Estonia was also one of the countries that announced before the Russian invasion began on February 24 that it would send US-made anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles to Kyiv.
