The electric cars discovered new limitations for daily use: exercise. The gas station was finished in five minutes, the search for a gas station was replaced by a search charging stations and terminals. Despite the fact that their development in France has been going on for a long time, the numbers are progressing, p 77,318 terminals in operation at the end of November. The 100,000 mark will be reached in 2023. Now there are 115 charging points per 10,000 inhabitants. In particular, 69% of terminals are located in shops and parking lots, 26% on roads and 4% in enterprises. But more than the number, the charging speed of the terminals is important. Those provides up to 350 kW of direct currentand allow the best set of autonomy to electric cars.
Independent operator in France
There were still fast charging networks large manufacturers prevail or oil groups. You are here of course with his Superchargers, ionicity (a consortium formed between Volkswagen GroupBMW, Mercedes-Benz, Ford and Hyundai) or even TotalEnergies. But the French company intends to shuffle the cards and establish itself as the first independent operator in France. Electrasuch is its name, set itself the goal of establishing 10,000 charging points across Europe. The young company even solved a serious problem that even large operators have not yet solved: fast charging in Paris. Was not there is no station or special terminal in the capital, the nearest – in the suburbs.
In the parking lots of the capital
A shortcoming that was above all else technicalhigh-speed terminals that require a complex installationand especially space. And places in Paris are exactly what is beginning to be in short supply. Therefore, Electra found a solution installation of the first terminals in the basement, in parking lots. Thanks to the partnership with Indigoopened its first station in the capital, in the village of Porte d’Italie car park. It offers two bollards and four 150 kW sockets. A young company intends to open 26 additional stations, in Paris, Bordeaux and Nice until 2024. For this, the company also planned a more unusual partnership with RATP. This will ultimately involve the installation of new stations and terminals from the electrical connections of metro and RER stations. The Nation had already conducted tests for three weeks in November, which turned out to be convincing. Electra offers a price per kWh of 44 cents, or about 20 euros for a full tank.
