
In the Belgorod region in the south of Russia near the border with Ukraine, one person was killed and five others were injured as a result of Ukrainian strikes on Sunday, the governor of the region reported.
“Our air defense system worked over Belgorod and the Belgorod region,” Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

Three witnesses told Reuters that loud explosions were heard in the city on Sunday.
According to some data in social networks, the “poultry factory” was hit. A video posted online shows a man in military uniform at the scene of the explosion:

Belgorod is one of the regions in southern Russia where facilities such as fuel and ammunition depots have been hit by explosions since Moscow launched a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
