The crossing point of the border with Ukraine Halmeu in Satu Mare district remained in the dark after a series of works carried out by the employees of the water supply and sanitation service.
“According to the results of the work carried out today, the contractor managed to cut the electric fiber so that the electricity was taken at the Halmeu checkpoint. And here we are talking about both the customs point and the veterinary and sanitary service of the village of Halmeu,” the prefect of the district told Antena 3 Satu Mare Council of the Year.
Several teams from Electrica went to the scene, while the Border Police District Inspectorate and ISU Satu Mare brought in a generator to provide electricity so that traffic through the Halmeu border crossing could proceed normally until the damage was repaired.
