CFR Cluj and Cluj University made it to the quarterfinals of the Romanian Cup. The leader “Farul Constanta” and “Rapid” from Bucharest leave the competition at the group stage.

Although they were outnumbered from the 3rd minute, following a red card by Constanța’s Borza, CFR Cluj were unable to impose themselves, but a draw saw them qualify for the quarters from top spot in the group.

Cluj University – Rapid 0-0, in Group C of the Romanian Cup

Rapid needed a win to reach the quarter-finals of the Romanian Cup, but after a lackluster performance, Adrian Mutu’s men drew with Cluj University, who qualified from second place in the group.
