After the electric version of the Kangoo, it was the turn Class T to get a supercharged version ! The Mercedes-Benz MPV was introduced a few months after the utilitarian version called the Citan. “Mercedes-Benz” and “Renault” established a partnership for the production of SUVs, this model is double Renault Kangoo. It also uses the same assembly lines at the Maubeuge site. Compared to the last generation Citan/Kangoo (the T-Class did not exist), the promotion to a high level was clearly visible. They abandoned very boxy silhouettes for a design that was less divisive and more accessible to the average customer. They were also distinguished by updates technical and technologicaland several innovations intended for professionals.

New electric MPV

Now that there is a light version, the Mercedes T-Class had to have an electric version. This is exactly the mission assigned EQT ! EQ stands for Mercedes-Benz’s electric range (for Electric Quotient), and T is the connection to the T-Class. Mercedes obliges, EQT plays like a premium, with distinctive chrome elements, LED lights and a large radiator grille with a star. It is also the only distinctive element in the thermal version of the T class. It is larger, painted black, and here it is half full (electric cars without a radiator behind the grill). Inside is the same model, where everything looks like a T-class. The instrument panel – produced by Renault – contains Wide screen MBUX 7 inches, the flagship of the latest technologies and aids for the Mercedes driver. Presentation, of course more neat and elegant than on the Renault cousin.

There are currently 5 places

EQT is available in one engine. It is an electric motor placed on the front axle, which develops 90 kW, which is equivalent 122 horsepower. To curb power consumption, Mercedes-Benz decided to limit it to 134 km/h. At the same time, autonomy reaches 282 kilometers, with a claimed average fuel consumption of 18.9 kWh/100 km.
