
The International Rowing Federation has named Simona Radis and Ancutsa Bodnar of Romania as the winners of the Women’s Crew of the Year category at the World Rowing Awards 2022.

The two athletes are Tokyo 2020 Olympic champions, two-time European 2022 champions in both women’s doubles (W2x) and women’s 8+1 (W8+), and 2022 world champions in women’s doubles (W2x).
Ankuta Bodnar became the world champion on the day she turned 24. Simona Radis won two gold medals in less than an hour in the women’s double sculls (W2x) and women’s double sculls (W8+) in a historic performance for Romania.
