Welcome again,” the Prime Minister said at the beginning of the meeting.

This is a very positive initiative for the EPP Prime Ministers to meet again now to reflect on the future of the EPP I think we have a lot to talk about, as well as current events in the EU, because we have serious problems, such as the energy crisis, the immigration crisis.Immigration is an issue for Austria, which is now a high priority, because we have many illegal immigrants, so yes, we have a lot to discuss,” the Austrian Chancellor said.
During the meeting, the excellent level of relations between the two countries was confirmed. The Prime Minister briefed the Austrian Chancellor on the initiatives taken by Greece and the infrastructure it is developing to become an energy hub that will promote independence from Russian fossil fuels and the energy security of Southeast Europe.
Regarding current developments in the Western Balkans, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Karl Nehammer discussed the progress of the European path of the countries of the region. The meeting was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, Director of the Prime Minister’s Diplomatic Office Ambassador Anna-Maria Bura, Head of the Prime Minister’s Economic Office Alexis Patelis and Deputy Government Representative Aristotelius Peloni.
