The head of Russia Today, Margarita Simonyan, discussed the possible defeat of Russia in the Ukrainian war, as well as the fears of some high-ranking Russian leaders, on the Kremlin-controlled public television “Russia-1” on the show of propagandist Volodymyr Solovyov. about the possibility of possible sanctions by the International Criminal Court, reports news.ro.
Pro-Kremlin presenter Volodymyr Solovyov raised the issue of Russia’s defeat in Ukraine on Monday on Rossiya-1, which is a rare departure from the Russian government’s version, Le Figaro comments.
“It would be a disaster that would befall our country. This is not an option. We must not lose the war,” answered the guest of the day, Margarita Simonyan.
“Leaving one more district of Kyiv without electricity will not change the scale of the disaster that will befall our country if we lose. It is impossible to imagine. We cannot lose,” she said, according to French channel BFMTV and Belgian publication La Libre Belgique.
The Ukrainians are “preparing to take Crimea from us. Then we will do the only thing we can do in this situation; let’s bomb them,” said the head of RT, a station banned in the European Union at the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine because of its propaganda.

“Russia does not bomb for pleasure”
“Russia does not bomb for pleasure. God knows we don’t want that. No one wanted it. And I know that our government didn’t want that either,” Simonyan said cynically.
The journalist then caused fear among some military commanders, who, unfortunately for her, would be afraid of judicial repression in the event of a Ukrainian victory.
Margarita Simonyan condemned such a state of mind.
“Unfortunately, I know many people who think this way. Including from the highest spheres,” she said.
“They are afraid and don’t dare to say things clearly for fear of what those people might think,” meaning representatives of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, which tries war crimes and crimes against humanity.
“The whole world will turn to ashes”
“I don’t care what they think there. Those who are afraid of The Hague should rather be afraid of losing the war, being humiliated and betraying the people,” the head of RT also said.
Soloviev then concluded, causing shivers on the set, that “The Hague will no longer exist if something like this happens. Nothing will be left. The whole world will turn to ashes.”
In another April broadcast, both propagandists suggested using Russian prisoners of war, some “monsters and freaks”, as slaves to rebuild Ukrainian cities destroyed by the Russians.
