During the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will take part in the signing ceremony “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Aviation and Maritime Search and Rescue Sector”Minister of National Defense and his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Zaki.

It is expected that after the signing, around 14:15, there will be brief joint press statements by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense of Greece and Egypt. Then there will be a joint working lunch.
After that, Nikos Dendias and Nikos Panagiotopoulos will hold separate meetings with their counterparts Sameh Soukri and Mohamed Zaki respectively.
As for the work schedule of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, he will hold a private meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, as well as talks in an expanded format between the delegations of the two foreign ministries.
Following the conclusion of the enlarged talks, Deputy Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will sign with the Assistant Foreign Minister of Egypt, Ambassador Ihab Nasr agreement on the employment of seasonal workers in the agricultural sector.
The two foreign ministers will make joint press statements at around 17:00.
The above meetings are part of the strategic bilateral relationship between Greece and Egypt and regular contacts between the top officials of the two countries, according to the Foreign Ministry.
