Concerned by his former Manchester United team-mate’s claims, Cristiano Ronaldo has said he thinks Rooney is just jealous of him. At first, the former England player was amused by CR7’s words about him, but recently he gave an interview in which he expressed his true opinion.
“He is a fantastic player. He and Messi are probably the best football players in history. I didn’t criticize him, I said that time doesn’t forgive anyone and it’s hard for Cristiano to understand that. He gave an interview that went around the world. Some of the comments were a bit strange, but I’m sure Manchester United will make a decision when it’s fully aired,” Wayne Rooney said, according to CNN.
The Lusitanian star attacked Rooney even though they were team-mates at Manchester United between 2004 and 2009.
