
From 14 to 17 November, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of Greek expatriation will visit Egypt, Andreas Katsaniotisto participate in the tripartite meeting of Greece, Cyprus, Egypt for diaspora affairs.
The meeting is held within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by the three countries in October 2021. Among other things, Mr. Katsaniotis will discuss with his Egyptian counterpart, the Minister of Immigration and Emigrants, Soha Gendy, and with the Cypriot Commissioner of the President’s Office. on humanitarian and diaspora issues by Fotis Fotios, continuation of the Nostos program and further encouragement of initiatives with diaspora organizations of the three countries, especially in the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, France, etc.
As part of his visit to Egypt, the Deputy Foreign Minister will travel to Alexandria, where he will meet with the Pope and Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa. Also in Cairo and Alexandria, he will have a number of contacts with representatives of the diaspora.
Finally, he will visit the Holy Monastery of St. Catherine of Sinai and meet with the Governor of South Sinai.
