Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his daily address on Tuesday that Russian missiles had hit Poland, saying that “terror is not limited to our national borders,” CNN and Reuters reported.
Polish authorities have not confirmed that Russian missiles fell on their territory.
Russia denies its involvement, and its Ministry of Defense declares that “there were no strikes on targets near the Ukrainian-Polish state border.”
The US State Department also said it was “not at a point where it can confirm some of these reports that we’re seeing.”
NATO says it is investigating reports that missiles or rockets fell on its member country Poland and is working closely with Polish authorities.
“We are analyzing these reports and working closely with our ally Poland,” a NATO official told CNN.
