A Russian conscript filmed himself handing out gifts he received from the governor of the region where he was assigned, including expired pretzels, a yoga mat and inappropriate winter clothing.

After a brief introduction in which he introduces himself, the Russian recruit introduces “humanitarian aid received from a very kind and ‘extremely respected’ man”, Oleksandr Tybulskyi, the governor of the Arkhangelsk region in the Russian Arctic: rubber boots “so we don’t get cold, Zima”.

“We will not be cold at all. Shit,” he says ironically.

He then donates several packages of expired pretzels. “Thank you for the bag. I will use it to wipe my ass,” says the Russian recruit.

The man then introduces the Isoprem, which he describes as a “yoga mat”:

“We will do yoga, we will not sit on the cold ground in the trenches. Excellent mattress, I recommend it to everyone.”

Russian conscripts were issued summer clothes for winter

The Russian recruit then presents what appears to be a cotton sack, expressing his disappointment at not receiving a military one:

“It’s so we can hang ourselves there. We can jump over bonfires in them. Thank you, Comrade Governor.”

Then he shows the resulting stockings and underwear, explaining that they are not quite suitable for frontline conditions.

“And the most important thing is a sleeping bag. If the light was stronger, you could see through it. They send us [pe front] Winter. Thank you very much, Comrade Governor,” concludes the recruit from Arkhangelsk.

On October 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the end of the mobilization process that Vladimir Putin had approved in September, but the Kremlin later said it would not issue an official decree formalizing it.

“There is no need for a decree,” Kremlin press secretary Dmytro Peskov said.

“The Legal Department of the President’s Administration concluded that the partial mobilization has been completed. The Ministry of Defense sent relevant telegrams to the military commissariats to stop sending draft documents,” he justified.
