The video, which appeared on social networks, shows for the first time that the American BGM-71 TOW anti-tank installation has arrived at the front line in Ukraine.
“After a long wait and a lot of footage from test sites, we can finally confirm that the legendary American anti-tank weapon BGM-71 TOW has arrived in Ukraine,” the administrators of the Ukraine Weapons Tracker page note, stating that the filming took place in the south of the country.

The recording also shows that the anti-tank installation was installed on a Humvee car, which the Ukrainians also received from the USA.
Another footage posted on social media by Ukrainian soldiers last month shows them using a Javelin launcher, also mounted on a Humvee, to destroy a Russian armored vehicle in a strike with 100 percent US military equipment.
The United States provided its famous Humvees to Ukraine as part of one of the first military aid packages announced by Joe Biden after the Russian invasion began on February 24.
Although the exact number of American Humvees that reached Ukraine is unknown, it is believed to be several hundred vehicles. The Washington administration also included the Humvee in the military aid package prepared in the middle of last month after the massive Russian missile strikes on Kiev and other major cities of Ukraine on October 10.
What is the BGM-71 TOW weapon
Like the Javelin systems, the BGM-71 TOW is a reactive anti-tank weapon developed in the 1970s to replace earlier versions of such weapons in service with the US military.
At the time, the BGM-71 had twice the range, a more powerful warhead, and a significantly improved targeting system compared to other similar US military weapons, and was equipped with an infrared system so it could be used at night.
Missiles launched by operators of BGM-71 TOW systems can reach speeds of 278-320 m/s and hit targets at a distance of up to 3,750 meters.
Although Javelin systems have become much better known to the general public due to their use during the Ukraine War, in military circles the BGM-71 TOW launcher is one of the most well-known weapons that have been widely used during conflicts in which the United States has been involved in the last half century.
It is also in the armed forces of several US NATO allies, as well as in other countries around the world.
BGM-71 TOW launchers are currently manufactured by Raytheon, one of the largest arms companies in the United States. Raytheon also manufactures NASAMS air defense systems, which arrived in Ukraine this week.
In early May, the Romanian authorities signed a memorandum of understanding with Raytheon regarding the production of SkyCeptor interceptor missiles in Ploiești.
