Asteras Tripoli and AEK were left 1-1 in the eleventh round of the Super League. It was the first draw for the Union, which did not take advantage of the loss of points by Panathinaikos after a 1–1 draw in the derby with Olympiacos.

Matias Almeida’s team scored 25 points. Asteras is in ninth place with 10 points.

The union came out with a mindset for pressing from the first minutes of the match. The guests got their first chance in the 11th minute after a beautiful development of the ball, but Rota’s finish was weak.

At the 13th minute, it was Asteras’ turn to create in good conditions. Crespi shot but missed the target. A little later, Riera’s drift shot didn’t bother Athanasiadis, who blocked it with ease.

Munafo found space in the 25th minute and shot, but his shot went wide. 29th Minute Araujo struck, but Papadopoulos blocked. Fog in Tripoli hampered the efforts of both teams’ players.

At 41 minute Mohammadi hung on the goalkeeper Astera, blocking on the second attempt. A little later, Araujo fired, but missed the target. The Union entered the second half with a menacing attitude. In the 50th minute, Matias Almeida’s team converted a penalty, Amrbat hit the mark and put AEK ahead.

Asteras draw 58 minute, thin. Crespi caught a volley, the ball went against Zavellas and ended up in the gate of Athanasiadis.

In the 63rd minute, Papadopoulos intervened great in Amrabad’s attempt. Asteras Greek goalkeeper shows his reflexes again in ’69 minute, thin.

Asteras pressed and spent two chances with Crespi. At the 82nd minute, Amrabad entered the opponent’s zone, but the hosts’ defense knocked the ball out. At 88 minute Gachinovich caught the throw, but his shot was completely off target.

In the 90th minute, Tilika made a turn in the penalty area, but there was no teammate in the way of the ball.
