“They don’t care about the cost of energy terror. If we look only at the cost of yesterday’s (Monday) Russian attack, the missiles and drones used cost Russia on average the equivalent of more than 2.3 million pence,” Zelenskyy said.

Russia admitted that the attack with more than 50 missiles was aimed at 18 Ukrainian energy facilities in ten regions. According to Kyiv, Ukraine shot down 45 of the 55 cruise missiles launched during this massive attack, which nevertheless left hundreds of settlements without electricity.

“And this is just an attack!” Zelensky shouted. “That is, the monthly income of 2,300,000 Russian pensioners… Instead of defeating poverty in his country, the Russian leader spends everything to avoid admitting the historic mistake he made with this war against Ukraine,” the Ukrainian president said.

Russia paid hundreds of millions of dollars for the missiles used in Monday’s attack

Earlier, the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Serhiy Bratchuk, stated in his Telegram account that missile strikes on Ukraine on October 31 cost the aggressor country about 400-600 million dollars, which is the annual budget of some large Russian industrialists. such cities as Yekaterinburg or Novosibirsk, reports Unian.

The calculation is simple, explained Bratchuk. On Monday, Russia launched at least 50 Kh-101 and Kh-555 cruise missiles. The Kh-101 missile costs $13 million, and the Kh-555 costs $7.5 million.

Instead, State Department spokesman Ned Price said on Tuesday evening, Ukrinform reports, that the American administration allocated 55 million dollars from the funds of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the repair and maintenance of Ukraine’s heat supply infrastructure.

According to him, the USAID assistance includes, in particular, the supply of more than 1,600 generators, as well as water purification systems and other heating equipment.

“Over the past 36 hours, Russia has fired about 100 missiles at water and electricity supply facilities in Ukraine. As the temperature drops, these Russian attacks, aimed at increasing the suffering of ordinary people, become especially heinous,” Ned Price emphasized.

According to him, the allocated funds should help Ukraine to repair and maintain the heat supply infrastructure in 19 regions of Ukraine, where up to 7 million Ukrainians live. (Source Agerpres)
