
The death of an elderly couple in the thermal baths of Sidirokastro is attributed to drowning. Serron, as follows from the results of a forensic examination conducted today Friday in Thessaloniki. According to the information, the conclusion of the forensic medical examination indicated that the drowning of a 72-year-old man and his 70-year-old wife occurred simultaneously.
Forensic Science Service sources say histological and toxicological tests to be carried out should provide answers to what preceded the drowning of the two elderly people. It turns out that they had previously passed out, causing them to drown.
Also present during the examination of the two bodies was the forensic technical consultant of the Thermal Baths enterprise where the incident occurred.
Two elderly people who were in the area for spa tourism were found working unconscious in a private bath last Wednesday afternoon. The site was cordoned off for field examination, and water samples were taken. During the on-site investigation, according to information, no damage to objects that may be associated with the incident was found.
