“After carrying out a complex of investigative and operational measures, the policemen of the city of Chitila, together with the policemen of the criminal investigation of Ilfov, found a 20-year-old man, suspected of committing theft on November 1 in the settlement of Ploiesti, from the car of the Romanian post office. , a bag containing 278,000 lei,” IPJ Ilfov reported on Friday evening.

According to the source, a bag of money was found with the man, the value of which will be determined later.

“At the moment, the man is in the custody of the Chitil police, he was taken to the headquarters of this police unit for investigation,” the police said.

A bag belonging to the Romanian post office, containing almost 280,000 lei, was stolen on Tuesday from a valuables transport vehicle stopped in Chiažna, Ilfov county.

The suspect turned out to be one of the institution’s employees who accompanied the driver, who has been wanted by the police ever since.
