Strong mobilization in Sibiu, where the municipality is ready to hand over a modern and grand stadium. The final details for the commissioning of the new arena in Sibiu are being worked out.
In the new arena, Germanstadt will play against ChFR Cluj
Work on the stadium began in September 2020 and the arena is 95% complete, approximately 8 months after the original deadline.
Although the City Hall has confirmed that the stadium will be ready for sporting events at the end of October, it seems that the company carrying out the work has slightly pushed back the deadline, and the first event that should have inaugurated this gem was the match between Hermannstadt and ” ChFR Cluj” from the Romanian Super League, scheduled for November 30.
On October 22, the stadium was connected to the gas network.
In the first instance, the total cost was said to be 24 million euros, but it was necessary to supplement the budget by about 4.5 million euros.
The capacity of the arena will be 12,363 seats, of which 302 are VIP seats, in addition to public catering, it will have an athletics hall and a boxing hall.
The playing surface will be 105 meters long and 68 meters wide, and the lawn will be natural, artificially reinforced, with a system of heating, anti-icing, drainage and irrigation.
