The shortage, which lasted for almost a month, made it difficult to take advantage of the 30-cent discount on fuel that the government introduced. A small gift for cars that have suffered from a sharp rise in prices, which few will finally be able to take advantage of. Indeed, although the discount was implemented on September 1, a blockade of refineries by strikers from TotalEnergies and Esso-ExxonMobil quickly complicated the situation. Gas stations were no longer refilled then, so it was impossible to use the discount. Total pumps were particularly hard hit as the company implemented an additional 20 cent increase. Suffice it to say that resorts were quickly taken by storm and devastated even before the scarcity began.

Extended discount

Although it was supposed to officially end this morning, the 30 cent discount imposed by the government has finally been extended. Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne did announce some good news during JT TF1 a few weeks ago. She then stated that ” we are going to extend this fuel discount until mid november and i had it CEO of Total this afternoon, which will also extend its discount“. So you have until November 15th to take advantage of this nice little boost in that context, even though fuel prices are still very high. After that date, the discount will decrease to 10 cents and will be canceled on December 31.

Also in Total

But that’s not all, because TotalEnergies The oil company did confirm that its 20 cents discount launched on September 1 will also be extended. As in the government, the discount will be valid until November 15. It will also increase to 10 cents the next day and will remain cumulative with the state rate. It will also last until December 31st and then disappear.
