The University of Cluj made a surprise of the 16th stage of the Super League: Eugen Nyagoe’s team defeated FCSB on their field with a score of 2:1.

The hosts scored through Thiam (’32) and Filipe (’40) and remained outnumbered after the dismissal of Romario Pires (’57).

FCSB closed the gap on Cordea (’87) but couldn’t equalize.

Thanks to this success, “U Cluj” scored 17 points and rose to 11th place in the ranking. On the other hand, FCSB (who have won four in a row in the Super League) are in 7th place with 20 points (having played two games less).
