From 12:00 in the courtyard of the Church of St. Nicholas – Brošteni, a council consisting of eight priests celebrated a memorial service in front of the monument, as well as a trinity dedicated to those who lost their lives in the fire. seven years ago. A wreath of white roses from Patriarch Daniel was placed at the monument.

From 1:00 p.m., a memorial service was also held in front of the former Kolectiv club. Portraits of 65 victims of the fire were also placed here.

All in all, the wound is still open

One of those who took part in the memorial service said his daughter survived the injuries caused by the fire, but his son-in-law Jonuts Major died on November 7. Both were hospitalized at the university hospital.

“There were two months left before the wedding, they had a wedding on September 12. (…) He was from Oneşti, he was a computer engineer, he worked in Bucharest. They both graduated from college, met and stayed here. They say that only good things are said about the deceased, but everyone says that he was the best,” said the man.

He thanked the doctors of the university hospital for saving his daughter.

“At first I didn’t expect her either, but now everything is fine. (…) (The life of the whole family, no) has changed. We are much sadder. Before that, I had a different way of life, a way of self-expression. Now we are more restrained,” he said.

There are no improvements in the treatment of large burns

On the other hand, he assessed that there was no improvement in treatment measures in the case of large burns.

“The file was complex. Some of it was revealed by the authorities, some remains undisclosed. As for medical measures, nothing,” he said.

On October 30, 2015, tragedy struck the Clubul Colectiv club in Bucharest, the country’s worst club fire and worst accident since 1989, resulting in 64 deaths and 163 injuries.

From 6:00 p.m., relatives and friends of those killed in the October 2015 tragedy will carry portraits of those killed to the General Prosecutor’s Office as part of a protest organized by Corruption Kills, Romania Initiative and Geeks For Democracy.

The organizers criticize the fact that “the #collective card file was superficially designed, dragged out, split up”, and the problem of the health care system, beds and burn hospitals, hospital infections in seven years is “far from being solved”.

At the same time, “the operation of public places is still allowed without providing protection against fires and emergency situations,” the organizers of the protest wrote on Facebook.
