Emma Reducanu will miss the Billie Jean King Cup with a wrist injury

Last season’s US Open champion Emma has been named in the Great Britain squad for the competition, which starts on November 8 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

However, a wrist injury derailed her plans and Emma will not play again in 2022.

“It’s very frustrating to get the news from the doctors that I won’t be ready in time, especially because they’re playing at home (not in Glasgow). I trust my colleagues and look forward to next year’s game” – Emma Radukanu.

At the age of 19, Emma is currently ranked 76th in the WTA rankings. In the current season, he has 17 wins and 19 losses, collecting $696,277 in tennis prizes. The highest in the world hierarchy was 10 (as of July 11, 2022).

So far, the Great Britain squad includes Harriet Dart, Katie Boulter and Heather Watson (two more players needed).

The following teams from Australia, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States will compete for the Billie Jean King Cup at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

The competition will be held from November 8 to 13.
