Between 48% and 60% of consumer benefit from subsidies reaches electricity bills November, according to the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

In particular, according to illustrative examples presented by the Ministry:

  • A household with a monthly consumption of 400 kWh would pay 159 euros without the subsidy and 64 euros after the subsidy (59.7% savings).
  • With a consumption of 700 kilowatt-hours, the monthly cost without the subsidy will be 278 euros, and with the subsidy it will decrease to 121 euros (-56.4%). With the energy savings bonus, the cost is reduced to 111 euros (60% benefit).
  • With a consumption of 1200 kWh, the cost without subsidy will be 476 euros and will be reduced to 244 euros (-48.7%) or 209 euros with a savings bonus (-56%).

November electricity subsidies

According to the Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas, in November for household invoices the following apply:

  • For monthly consumption up to 500 kilowatt hours: 238 EUR/MWh (This applies to 90% of households)
  • From 501 to 1000 kWh: €188/MWh. However, if a household reduces daily consumption by 15% compared to the previous year, then the subsidy is increased by 50 euros per MWh.
  • More than 1000 kilowatt-hours: 50 euros/megawatt-hour.

Per social tariffnearly 100% of the increase is absorbed with a subsidy of €286 per MWh.

Sta professional accountsThe following subsidies will apply:

  • For consumption up to 2000 kilowatt-hours and up to 35 kVA, the subsidy will be 200 euros per megawatt-hour.
  • For consumers over 2,000 kilowatt-hours and up to 35 kVA, the subsidy will be 50 euros per megawatt-hour.

Per farmersthe subsidy will be horizontal and will amount to 238 euros per MWh.

Natural gas

Per natural gas, the government will not provide a subsidy, but DEPA Emporias will offer a horizontal subsidy of 25 euros per thermal kilowatt-hour. The measure, according to Mr. Skrekas, concerns 700,000 consumers regardless of income and suppliers.

At the same time, DEPA Emporias announced a reduction in the selling price of natural gas at its private filling stations.

In particular, from November 1, the new price is set at 1.20 euros/kg, the price includes a discount from the Company in the amount of 1.15 euros/kg.
