Maserati has partnered with Mattel for the first time: an unexpected collaboration based on the ‘Barbiecore’ trend, the candy pink trend that is invading the fashion, beauty and film industries.

Trident has just unveiled the fruit of this unconventional collaboration with the ultra-limited edition Maserati Grecale, the Italian brand’s new SUV, with a livery inspired by Barbie’s ‘glamorous’ lifestyle…

Maserati Grecale Barbie: only two copies

The Maserati Grecale Barbie this is an edition signed by Fuoriserie: this is an ultra-limited series that will be available in only two copies worldwide: the first will be sold by the US store Neiman Marcus in its “Fantasy Gifts 2022” catalog, and details about the second copy will not be revealed until 2023.

For an exclusive edition sold in the United States with Neiman Marcus, Mattel will donate 10% of the sales price to the project. Barbie Dream Gap from GoFundMe, an international initiative that works with charities to ensure equal opportunities and remove barriers for young girls.

Maserati Grecale Barbie: unique livery

The Fuoriserie Maserati Grecale Barbie is presented by the Italian manufacturer as a “work of art”: Maserati’s advanced personalization department allows its customers to express “their passion and creativity in creating their ultimate Italian luxury” according to their personal style and taste.

The SUV features black Barbie and Neiman Marcus logos, as well as a pink paint with an iridescent coating that reveals the effect of a rainbow under the influence of the sun. The screaming shade is amplified yellow borders, which are inspired by the racing heritage of the Trident brand, in particular the Maserati 250F. The alloy wheels are painted black, and there are carbon inserts on the shields and door sills.

Its interior takes a dark atmosphere elegant, featuring all-black leather seats, dashboard, carpets, and door trim, contrasting with pink embroidery, as well as headrests signed with the Barbie “B” logo. Decorative inserts of bright pink color also decorate the interior.

This Fuoriserie signed Maserati Grecale Barbie is based on the Trofeo powered version 530 horsepower V6 Nettuno, which is combined with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. This is the most powerful model in the Grecale range, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 285 km/h.

To purchase this Maserati Grecale Barbie, you will have to pay a modest amount of $330,000, which is equivalent to approx. 330,900 euros !
