Two videos shared by Ramzan Kadyrov’s Chechen fighters show how they cleared one of their positions in Kherson and what happened after they were fired upon by the Ukrainian army.

The first footage of the aftermath of the explosion appeared on social media on the night of October 24, showing some of the Kadir fighters in surprisingly good spirits, considering that they appear badly wounded and many of their comrades are dead.

Netizens then looked at the Telegram and TikTok channels of the Chechen fighters, discovering a video they had shared from what appeared to be a local school base.

In the video, the Kadir students are very relaxed, one of them is testing the school’s piano, and the others are relaxing near the entrance to the school.

None of the Chechen fighters seem to care about a comrade filming their position, even though several such recordings or even photographs have previously been used by the Ukrainian military to target enemy forces.

Another video, which appeared on social networks, shows what remained of the Chechen base after the bombing by Ukrainians.

Kadyrov personally spoke about the attack on Thursday in the context of the distribution of some images on Russian social networks during rescue operations of Chechen fighters who were trapped under rubble.

Ramzan Kadyrov talks about more than 20 dead Chechens in Kherson

Kadyrov, a close associate of Russian President Vladimir Putin, acknowledged a day ago that 23 of his soldiers had been killed and 58 wounded in a Ukrainian artillery attack this week.

The head of Chechnya announced the death toll after, according to him, “all rescue operations at the site have been completed and there is a final list of the dead and wounded.” However, other sources speak of more than 40 dead Chechen fighters.

“Yes, our losses in the early hours of that day were heavy, but Chechens are participating in jihad… and if they are destined to die in a holy war, it is an honor and a great joy for every true Muslim,” he added.

His comments came after he said a few days ago that Russia and its forces are fighting Western “satanism” that is manifesting itself in Ukraine.

“This is Jihad! And our Chechen commanders decided not to defend themselves, but only to advance. Let’s destroy these shaytans (devils), no matter where they are and no matter how well they hide,” the leader of Chechnya urged at the time.

Ramzan Kadyrov also said on Thursday evening that his forces carried out an attack and killed 70 Ukrainians in response to the shelling of the Kherson base.
